Brazil's Hidden Gem: Natal, Rio Grande do Norte
About Natal
Natal is the capital of one of the smallest states in Brazil called Rio Grande do Norte. It is a beautiful city, home to pristine beaches, massive sand dunes, and the beautiful north-east Brazilian culture. The city is home to a historic star-shaped fort called the Forte dos Reis Magos, which played a key role in Brazil’s colonial history. The lively Natalian culture is reflected among its brilliant seafood, festive parties, and the native genre of music called Forro. The people of Natal are also among some of the most welcoming in all of Brazil, jumping at the opportunity to show tourists their North-East Brazilian roots.

Climate
The climate of Natal is very warm year round. Due to its close proximity to the equator, Natal doesn't really have seasons. In the winter it is a little cooler, and it rains way more. Honestly, that’s the only difference! The average temperatures year round average 77-86 degrees celsius. The city can also be very windy due to trade wins from the Atlantic ocean. The IV in Natal is also very high because of its proximity to the equator as well, making it the optimal beach destination.
